The Call--the Finale

How about a little stream of consciousness... The call came at 5:30, on the dot. Everybody had pen at the ready and it all came at once... a stream of information from the agency, age, weight, height, name ... Oh you want to know that stuff..

Tong Min Yin
born 12/27/09
at 5 months old she was 13 lbs, 24 inches

I think I got every fifth word... when they got to telling me her birthday is when the first tears came. I did not think I would get a child so young... I will say more later, I just wanted to get a pic up... I have calls to make!!!

P.S. She's wearing yellow!

  1. Yippe, I'm the first to post a comment! Andrea, no words can convey my feelings of happiness for you and Phoebe. What a journey we've been on and part of that journey has been our friendship blossoming. I'm thrilled that we are part of this journey with you and that my husband is able to be the shoulder you need to rely on while you go to China to meet your little angel. He will be a great blessing to you, because he's been a blessing to me all our years together. How blessed you are to receive this child of God and how blessed Phoebe is to get you as her mommy.

I showed Rachel the picture of the baby and she said "is that baby Phoebe?"

Now the journey truly begins as you and your daughter unite!

    Love you,
    Sherry

    Andrea
Of course I should have been working as I woke up at 5:30 to get a 'jump' on the day but instead took the greater part of an hour reading from the bottom up the story of Phoebe. Talk about tears.... I too have such a distant fondness for you. I know that we didn't know each other all that well when I was at ECRI but you always had that friendly smile that broadened your face and just smacked of 'sincere' which I so appreciated. Please keep me updated! I am so very proud of your stick to-it ivenss. A lesser person would have thrown in the towel. Pheobe is truly a lucky little bird!
